PLEASED TO REPORT THAT REFURBISHMENT OF COURTS 3 AND 4 IS COMPLETE. THE COURTS ARE EXCELLENT. WORK CONTINUES ON COURTS 1 AND 2 - WEATHER PERMITTING, THEY SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF SEPTEMBER.
Despite the torrential rain on Saturday, we managed to get the Club Championship finals played over the weekend. Many thanks to all the participants and well done to all the winners and runners up. A special thank you to Geotechnics for their sponsorship. Results and photos can be found under the "Club Championships" tab.
Our accounts remain with Lloyds Bank but anyone paying by standing order will need to move membership payments to our new account. Emails have been sent to all those affected and details of account changes are on the noticeboard at the Club. More details can be found under the 'Membership' tab but this is something that you have to action as unfortunately neither the Bank nor the Club can do it on your behalf.
Jo went to Malawi and had an exciting and busy schedule whilst away. She was pleased to hand over a total of £5,155.90 for tennis and the orphanage. There is an article on the Cheshire LTA website which you can read at https://www3.lta.org.uk/in-your-area/Cheshire/news/July-2017/CHESHIRE-COACH-REVIVES-RUN-DOWN-COURTS-IN-MALAWI-/
Well organised and fun event - clearly throwing wet sponges at the coaches was the highlight of the afternoon! Thanks to all who helped - either on the day or contributing cakes/ raffle prizes - and those that came along and supported us. We raised £230 towards our Community Outreach Fund and Jo's Malawi project. The tennis activities ran all afternoon and everyone enjoyed participating. Look forward to seeing lots of new participants on court soon!
